In pre-Carboniferous complexes of the central zone within the Western Carpathians two main groups of meta-ultramafite bodies occur: 1 — bodies localized in the basal part of the leptyno-amphibolite complex (LAC), and 2 — bodies of the Kohut mica schist formation. Both groups of meta-ultramafite bodies are noted for their rootless character and the evolution of reaction-metamorphic blackwalls at the margins of the individual bodies.
