The article analyses a sedimentological, lithostratigraphical, microfacial and geochemical data from the sediments of the Ladinian tensional intraplatform basins in the Central Western Carpathians. It is also concerned with the questions of silicification and diagenetic dolomitization, as well as with the paleotectonic control of the origin and development of the Middle Triassic sedimentary areas in the Alpine-Carpathian shelf block.
